Grand River Supply handcrafts our beautiful solid wood gates in styles designed to complement our Rustic
and Southwestern Solid Wood Doors. Our custom milled styles, rails and mullions are 1 3/4" thick with
1 3/8” thick solid wood tongue and groove panels for strength and beauty.
Optional wood surface treatments including sand blasting, wire brushing
or distressing can add a wealth of character and charm to your solid wood gate. You may wish to use
our quality Wood Stains and Finishes to make your wood gate fit naturally
into your exterior décor and landscaping design.
You may choose to have your solid wood gate handcrafted with one of our distinctive grills along the
top to complement the wood grills in your adobe walls.
We offer a Rustic Gate Latch perfect for these quality wood gates. Wind
and water are prime enemies of wood gates. If a gate is left unlatched during exceptionally windy conditions
it could be damaged. For this reason, a gate warranty cannot be offered. We suggest using only gate
hardware, not door hardware, to hang your gate. This will ensure that the proper tolerance for shrinking
and swelling is maintained, and will not affect the ability of the hardware to latch the gate. We also
strongly recommend using spring hinges or closers to ensure that unattended gates will automatically
close and latch.
Obviously courtyard walls and entries can be constructed in a wide variety of styles and sizes, which
ultimately affects the size and design of the gate. For new construction projects, we suggest the wall
be built first, and then measured for a gate to fit. For this reason most gates are built to size, after
your order, generally within two weeks.

The design of this beautiful rustic wood gate will add elegance to your garden or lawn.
The Full Panel solid wood gate is a southwestern classic. This distinctive hand crafted
rustic wood gate features a single panel of sturdy vertical Tongue & Groove pine. The Full Panel
gate looks great “as is,” or with strategically placed decorative clavos.
The Grand River solid wood gate also uses vertical Tongue & Groove panels, supported
by a horizontal pine rail near the middle.
